Rumors about the next sets to come
10306: lego Atari 2600
I just saw the news this morning: A replica of the ATARI 2600 could be released to celebrate the manufacturer's 50th anniversary.
Released in 1977, the Atari VCS (renamed the Atari 2600 five years later) is considered one of the most iconic video game consoles of all time - not only because of its unique woodgrain finish but also for the notoriety and nostalgia evoked by the ATARI brand.
We already had the Nintendo Entertainment System™ in 2020 with set 71374 ($229.99 / £199.99 - 2646 pieces), which would open the door to a new collection of retro consoles (it could be really awesome !).
In short, if this Brick Leaks is confirmed, this set will probably be the subject of a complete review.
🔜 Coming Soon
It's coming out this month and I'll surely invest in the future
We had some great releases in April:
LEGO Creator 10300: Back to the Future Time Machine, was out of stock as soon as it was released...
LEGO Jurassic World 76956: T.Rex Breakout is currently in restocking …
These 2 sets would have deserved to be analyzed and no doubt they will appear in a ⚡ Quick Bricks when the time comes.
A set that will be available on May 1st has me warmed up as it completes the already popular Botanical Collection series. This is #10311 Orchid / Orchid which joins Bonsai (10281), Bouquet of Flowers (10280), Bird of Paradise (10289) and Succulents (10309) which will also be released in May.
I find it particularly successful, visually really close to the orchid and it ticks a lot of criteria : collection, decoration, adult… which make it a potential set to invest in.
Lego has put a purchase limit of 2 sets per household, which logically reduces the number of boxes that will be available on the market once retired.
Great unknown for the moment: its availability at other merchants…
If its “semi-exclusivity” is confirmed, there is no doubt that it will enter my target list and I will offer you a more detailed analysis.
🏆 Time to sell
If you have this in stock, now might be the time to sell
These sets are part of my inventory and will therefore be leaving in the coming weeks:
LEGO Speed Champions 76895: Ferrari F8 tributo - ROI: 300% on Amazon
LEGO Star Wars 75258: Anakin's Podracer – 20th Anniversary Edition - ROI: 324 % on Amazon

Topic of the month: a theme, a category of set...
May the Force: Star Wars (Lego) Day
On the occasion of Star Wars World Fan Day, Lego is preparing the release of a big UCS* set and a nice layer of promo and GWP * .
The UCS set will be the LEGO Star Wars 75341 Landspeeder ($199.99 / £174.99 - 1890 pieces) and will be released on May 4th but accessible to VIP members from May 1st.
Regarding the offers, they will be available from May 1st to 8th (or while stocks last):
The polybag 30495 AT-ST will be offered from $40 / £40 of purchase
The key ring 5007403 Mandalorian Beskar Keychain offered from $70 / 70£ of purchase (excluded VIP)
The mini set 40531 Lars Family Homestead Kitchen offered from $160 / £160 of purchase
And the VIP points doubled on a large selection of LEGO Star Wars sets
You can find all the offers on the dedicated page on lego.com.
Will I be tempted?
Yes and no.
The UCS set does not interest me at all, neither for collecting nor for investing.
I don't like the mini set: half a kitchen? Are you serious LEGO???
So I still have the polybag easy to have seen my average basket at Lego and the real fake Beskar key ring.
What sets available on the Lego Shop could justify my going to bed late on 04/30?
Disclaimer: No need to hide your face, this operation generates collective hysteria every year among Lego Star Wars fans and compulsive purchases in series.
If you hope to get up quietly at 8 a.m. and take advantage of all the offers... stay in bed ;-) You will indeed need to be connected to the lego site and do the countdown like on New Year's Eve to validate your basket and draw your credit card...
So, which sets to buy? As with all GWPs, as Lego does not accumulate them in the basket, the strategy is to fall as close as possible to the required sum.
Let's say you want the 40531 Lars Family Homestead Kitchen set.
3 sets are quite close to the required amount :
75257 : Millenium Falcon
75315: Imperial Light Cruiser
75288: AT-AT
With another small lego star wars, you will get the GWP offered by Lego.
I won't extend this list any further because we already have a Winner as far as investment is concerned. As the purpose of the newsletter is to share my vision and my method, here are the elements that I analyzed to make my choice:
Purchase limit
Minifigures
Release date
End Of Life 2022 ?
The list of criteria is not exhaustive and we could have weighed in the balance the celebrity of the model for example where the Falcon and the AT-ST would surely have taken points.
In any case, given his probable retirement at the end of the year, less choice would be good on the 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser.
You can of course mix sets with lower prices or treat yourself with a large one …
Do not hesitate to tell me for which model(s) you are ready to stay awake!

A little review of a set I'll be investing in over the next few months
Creator Expert 10279: Volkswagen T2 Camper Van
🧱 Pieces: 2207
🚀 Release date: 08/01/2021
✨ EOL*: 12/31/ 2022
Last summer, LEGO delighted us with this set that smells like the holidays. After the LEGO 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Car (which retired in 2020, after almost 10 years on the market!) VanLife fans have the chance to acquire this model based on a mythical vehicle whose production started in 1950.
The detail that kills: the customization of the Lego set is pushed to the extreme with the possibility of installing the German or American license plate!
📈 Why does this set have potential?
VanLife is a phenomenon that is not new, but it has really gained momentum with the COVID-19 crisis.
The Camper Van is a vehicle that arouses the desire for escape and freedom. Its owners generally baptize it with a nickname.
In short, although limited to adults, the target is very broad and above all inter-generational.
🔑 Why am I investing in this set?
When I started investing in Lego in 2019, I missed the opportunity of the 10220 which could be found at 75-80 $/£ quite regularly. Seeing that the set was released in 2010, I (wrongly) assumed that the set would never be retired… Wrong since it left the shelves in December 2020 without me having had time to buy enough to fill my closet.
Today this model sells for around 150-160 to 230 depending on the platform and its price will continue to climb because the T1 is even more legendary than the T2.
📅 When will I invest?
Yesterday ;-)
Even if the EOL date remains hypothetical like all the others, I take advantage of every good opportunity to buy a box and start filling the shelf.
The good opportunity of the moment: from 21 to 30/04, Lego offers a GWP* already released in 2021, the set Ideas 40487: Sailboat Adventure.
This one resells very well on the secondary market…
There is no doubt that interesting VIP x2 or GWP will arrive before the end of the year and will give you other opportunities to acquire this set.
Don't forget to like, share and comment at the end! 👇
🔭 Brick Leaks
10306 : lego Atari 2600
LEGO Creator 10300 (169,99€) : Back to the Future Time Machine, en rupture dès sa sortie …
LEGO Jurassic World 76956 (99,99€) : T.Rex Breakout actuellement en réassort …
🏆 Time to sell

LEGO Star Wars 75258 : Anakin’s Podracer – 20th Anniversary Edition

May the Force : les bons plans Lego Star Wars
Vais-je me laisser tenter ?
75257 : Millenium Falcon (159,99€)
75315 : Imperial Light Cruiser (159,99€)
75288 : AT-AT (159,99€)
Creator Expert 10279 : Volkswagen T2 Camper Van
🧱 Pièces : 2207
🚀 Date de sortie : 01/08/2021
✨ EOL* : 31/12/2022
💰 Prix : 159,99€
